Wrex Products manufactures custom plastic and metal components for engineers and buyers who need tooling, molding or casting, machining, finishing, and assembly from a single supplier.
Company history
Mr. Wrex Howard founded Wrex Products in 1960 and incorporated the business in 1968. He started by making tools himself — one at a time, by hand, in the tool room that still stands on the same site today.
From there the company grew from building individual tools to building hundreds of tools a year, then added production to run those tools rather than handing them off, and has kept adding higher value-added services since — molding and casting, then machining, finishing and coating, then assembly — each one added because customers asked for it.
That order matters, and it explains how Wrex works today. The company did not start as a molder that later bought a tool room; it started as a tool shop that grew into everything downstream of the tool. Tooling is still where the accountability begins.
Where we are today
Manufacturing is based in Chico, California, serving customers across medical, industrial, electronics, and consumer product industries with plastic injection molding, aluminum and zinc die casting, tooling and mold design, CNC machining, powder coating, and assembly.
