Our tool room designs and builds molds and dies for both plastic injection molding and die casting, and repairs or modifies tools already in production — including tools transferred from other suppliers.

Process overview

    Design review

    Tool design is reviewed against part geometry and expected production volume before cutting steel.

    Build

    Tools are built and sampled in-house.

    Qualification

    First articles are measured against the print before production release.

    Ongoing maintenance

    Production tools are maintained and repaired as needed to sustain part quality.

Part design considerations

  • Tool steel and cavitation should match real program volume
  • Design changes to an in-production tool should go through the same DFM discipline as a new tool

Do you only build tools for your own production, or as a stand-alone service?

Both — most of our tool room's work supports parts we'll also mold or cast, but we'll discuss stand-alone tool builds, repairs, and transfers on request.
